Reading and Literacy Ladder (Hagdan) Series

The Reading and Literacy Ladder is a structured, seven level literacy framework designed to systematically develop learners’ reading, language, and writing competencies from emergent literacy to independent and advanced literacy. Anchored on Lexile measures and aligned with the Revised K to 10 Curriculum under the MATATAG framework, the ladder provides a clear and developmentally appropriate progression of skills that responds to learners’ assessed reading levels while guiding them toward grade level expectations.
